#Remembrance #Love 6/25.
Sofia loved Penguins. We played w/ them in Dubai and she also skied indoor while I had a spot of Champagne and watched from a very big window. Only in Dubai. They have to build things of that nature…cus w/o them…just a bunch of sand. — a year ago

Had a glass in Champaign. Rude, rustic, woody and sensitive. — 3 months ago
Exquisite. A deep ruby rose color in the glass with effusive perlage. The nose is alive and explosively immediately. Bright, ripe red fruits for days along with toasted biscuits. Vanilla cream and orange zest. There’s an undercurrent of nutmeg and herbs here that are quite nice.
100% Pinot Noir Rosé de Saignée. Power and elegance combined, but of the two, elegance is at the heart of this champagne. Bold and striking, this is full bodied but never overbearing or overwhelming. Very silky and smooth throughout with a definite sense of place.
Sharp acidity that is just wonderful with a rather lush mouthfeel. Quite vinous. Strawberries and raspberries in the mouth with a touch of earth. A deliciously long finish that truly leaves you wanting more. An exceptional wine. — 9 months ago

It has been a yr and half of more since I’ve had the Launois Veuve Clemence. Still enjoy this quite a bit but I sense the 8g’s dosage more now versus the 2-6g’s dosage that I have gravitated.
It shows orange citrus blend, lime pulp, lemon zest to chiffon, grapefruit with pith, Bosc pear, red apple, pineapple, tropical melons, kiwi, white spice, gritty chalk, crispy volcanics, dry river stone, saline, sea fossils, limestone marl, notes of frothed whole milk, graham cracker crust, yellow & white flowers, jasmine mixed in greens, lively, crisp acidity, very well balanced, complex, good tension/structure and elegant finish that lasts minutes and long sets on spice and minerals.
100% Blanc de Blanc, Grand Cru vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and spent almost five years on lees, founded in 1872 and has passed through 8 generations.
If you go to Champagne, try & get an appointment. They have a huge historical champagne museum that is amazing.
