17.5. Rich but not complex nose. Very full on palate, great fruit, sufficient acidity, no tannins. Quite delicious. — 5 years ago

Ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Rich and powerful. Balanced and easy drinking.
I've had this wine a few times before and it is very consistent.
Still young and needs at least 5 years in the bottle to mature.
14% alcohol by volume.

Drinking smoothly after being open for 2+ hrs. Bright, clean fruit. Red cherries for days. Very tasty! — 4 years ago
Vintage 2017 | I am fond of frivolous young Rioja, but seldom recognize them blind. To be honest, that frivolity and some raspberry in smell made me think: a Cru de Beaujolais. But this Rioja has its own qualities. Some cacao in taste, tannins still, good balance. Have to drink more of it to recognize. — 6 years ago
Amazing, super berry nose, rich, deep and complex. Slightly smokey. — 8 years ago

I like to drink Rioja Reserva at 8–12 years of age, when the balance really clicks: the woody notes are fully integrated, lending gentle spice, cedar, and tobacco, while the fruit remains vibrant and expressive. The 2015 Contino Reserva shows just that sweet spot with ripe red and black cherry, dried herbs, and a touch of leather, framed by fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. It’s poised rather than powerful, with a long savory finish.
Certainly has the stuffing for another 8-10 years development. — 10 days ago
