Les Vins de Vienne (Cuilleron Gaillard Villard)

Crozes-Hermitage Syrah 2019

Last of three bottles of this delicious Crozes. Nose is all over the place, with an initial funky (poopy) note that blows off quickly to reveal minerals, orchid florals, roasted asparagus, roast beef, dark fruit, and granitic minerality. Intense but beautifully balanced in the mouth. Soft textured and very savory/ minerally. Such a ridiculous value. Sorry to drain the last one but happy while draining it! — 4 days ago

@Tom Casagrande, this label is a collaboration between the three Cote Rotie winemakers, no?

Les Essartailles Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2018

Cooler temps make it a Syrah kind of day. Join me? This one is just hitting right today. Exactly what you want from Côte Rôtie, this wine has great meat, great fruit, great finish.. it's still young but doing just fine!

2016. Balances fruit tannins and acidity. Soft tannins because of the age. Ripe. — 8 months ago

Version Longue St. Péray Marsanne 2022

Great 100% marsanne from Villard. Fresh wine with smell of abricots and almonds. Must have been long on lees and subtle wood. — 8 months ago
