Love aged nose. Sous bois Italian style. Terrific spice. Lovely array of spice. Very complex and engaging. Mid season cherries. Palate is juicy and deep with beautiful mid season cherrie and terrific structure, depth and concentration. Lovely spice on the palate. Lingers. Very well balanced and some sauvage elements as well. Long finish. Not that elegant but beastly in a good way. Terrific juiciness that lingers.

Absolutely delicious. Last had a bit under 4 years ago and the age has served this well, though honestly this could use still more time. Opened for 3 hours and decanted for 1.5, which worked well. Beautiful dark aromatics on the nose. Intensity of fruit on the palate with a long acid driven finish. Tannins are still quite present but with pork chops with a mustardy sauce this paired nicely. Really enjoyed.

If Barbaresco & Margaux had a baby… mostly Nebbiolo - very elegantly styled, regal bearing. No signs of age & fairly tightly wound still - bunch of dusty cherries mingled with spice, asphalt, herbaceousness and violets. Lovely perfumed nose leads to cherries & red fruit on palate, earth & soil but smooth - oh so smooth. Finish didn’t live up to the rest, but still thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks @Lyle Fass
