Filetta di Lamole Chianti Classico Sangiovese

Rich and ripe - still with balsamic notes - lovely aromatics. A lively nose from this excellent Chianti vintage. Plummy, savoury red fruits, earthy, a trace of mushroom. Goes without saying that this is an excellent food wine, even with the extra ripeness from the 2016 vintage. We drank our last bottle on 12/12/25 with home made pizza. Just an excellent Chianti.

Fontodi is rarely disappointing in my experience. This was no exception. Although I’m not sure this wants much more time in the cellar
