Clear and bright light ruby , thin garnet rim . Fresh and aromatic rose and light red cherry , touch of light dried herbs with an earthy hint . On the palate this has bright red fruits , pure and elegant, fruit driven with red cherry , spiced red plum , and an earthy , menthol hint . Fresh acidity but with a still relatively juicy mouthfeel. Slightly grippy tannins and just noticable alcohol . Good length and overall balance . Drink now and over the next 5 years or so .

A preposterously good value in 2021. I always like their wines, from the Troncone up to the Brunello. But this rosso may really hit the middle sweet spot at least at this point 4 years since harvest. Lovely expression of Sangiovese. Perfect pairing with an excellent medium rare prime strip steak from double R ranch.

2021 vintage. Last tasted 01.15.25 (9.3). Slightly more reticent than the last visit but still rocking the chunky vibe and hella value. 05.23.25.

May 24th, 20252021 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Chunky with moments of clarity and moments of chaos. When it rolls in at the resto price waay under $30, compelled to pick up 4 cases. A fave Italian producer and this does nothing to dispel those feelings. 01.15.25.
