From taste: Very herbal, with white pepper, clove and rosemary at the fore, cherry liqour and a touch of mushroom. Good intensity. Very rich, bursting with cherries, quite fat palate, lush and finishes herbal again. Fine length, acidity is low but offering its pleasure now with your spaghetti bolognese.

Really nice, lovely and tame tannins, but still bright. Leathery meaty.

Wonderful expression of Classico. Really enjoyed trying this producers offerings over the last month or so. This is my favorite. Blue fruit, leather, and baking spice on the nose. Juicy dark fruit, pepper notes, herbs, with violet, and chocolate notes on the silky balance finished.

Jul 8th, 2017Dark purple in colour. Good legs and viscosity. Black plum, ripe cherries on the nose. Good acid. Good length. Medium body. Tastes of black cherry, black currents. Drinking very well now. Excellent with food.

Serviceable Chianti, a little thin, high acid, short, clean and fresh but lacking depth. Ok with our pumpkin risotto.
