Monthly WTF wine group meet up. No true theme this month. Some wines tasted blind.
This was not tasted blind by me. On the nose, Red clay, underripe red and black fruit. Dusty and young...earthy. Ripe and lush on the palate...candied cherry, saddle leather and herbal spice. Drinking well, but plenty of time ahead and not yet at peak. Thanks @Weston Eidson

Sweet, sweet fine tannins. Other than the integration & sweetness a bit meh?

2020 drinking of 2005 Margaux, think it's just about there, berries, tobacco, well balanced, softish tannins. A wedding pressie in 2010.

Jul 25th, 2020Ok the smell is amazing, the tannins are dead - v soft. Honey, blackberries, soft mossy and old vanilla elements. Spearmint.

This is in a good place now. Deep, rich berry fruit loaded with baking spices. There's some earthy, barnyard funk to boot. I predict 10 more years of evolution, but try 'em if you got 'em.
