1979 vintage. Still decent fill. Fully saturated cork a bit of a mess even with a Durand but extracted most of it in one go. Decanted with a bit of mostly powdery sed. Aged Burgundy color. Tasted 45 minutes after decanting. Light body. Somewhat brickish with cherry pit and earth. Approx 10-12 years past the top of the bell curve. 05.01.25.

Fully mature and lovely with nice forest floor light red fruits with hints of violets. Maybe even some tea. Just a great wine paired with lamb showing pedigree.

Delicious and drinking so well. A year younger than me and showing youth, vigor and a sense of refinement lacking in me. Cinnamon, tobacco leaf, red fruits, dry tannins.
