Medium ruby , with ruby pink rim . Quite ripe blue fruits , dark cherry , smoky cassis , round and generous . Quite rich and round in the mouth, alcohol is a bit evident. Strawberry jam , raspberry , dark cherry , touch toasty. Rounded velvety tannins , ok acidity . Ok length . Enjoyable now but will age well over the next 15 years or so

After a while sweet cherry , raspberry jam . On the palate this is quite elegant and red fruited , quite good acidity , red currant , cherry , raspberry , some blackberry . Balanced acidity quite juicy tannins , good length , surprisingly fresh and balanced . Good red fruited , earthy length . A better showing here than last year I felt, better balance and fresher fruit . Showing surprisingly well now , though still young , better in 5 years , and will continue well for a further 10 -15 or so .

Bold, dry, notable but not overpowering tannins. Pencil lead on nose, plums and cherries on palate. Probably would benefit from laying down 3-5 more years.
