What an exceptional village wine. Really great depth, layered complexity and a beautiful purity. Punching above its weight. Kirsch cherries, ripe strawberries held together by a mineral backbone. Finishes with great length, energy and intensity.

Lots of potential. Needs a lot of time to open up

Great wine. Violets, wild berry, underbrush, raspberry, loads of minerality and nice acid. Thanks Doug!

I thought this was an incredibly special wine at Joujou ($475). It was bolder and more herbal than other burgundies of similar quality and some secondary characteristics were emerging. It drank a little less well the next day at a slightly warmer temperature but boy it was special at the restaurant.
