There is a surprising amount of depth to this wine. I haven’t drank much from the Coppola line, but didn’t expect much. I was surprised to find a wine that almost feels as if a Rhône Syrah and and Aussie Shiraz had a baby. Solid earth, black olives, currant and black plums are part of the highlights. The second row extras include cherry, raspberry and blueberry notes. This is surprisingly good, worth the entry price of around $12 a bottle.

Subtle tannin, good fruit flavor, taste doesn't last long on the tongue, smooth, easy drinkability

Thick, lower tanin than one would expect. Perfectly drinkable sans food. Recommend with a strong but not too strong cheese
