This 2018 rendition is a little lighter and crisper than prior vintages I’ve had. Nose is quite bright with red berry fruit and vaguely smoky crushed rock dust. In the mouth it’s medium bodied, has a very soft mouthfeel, and nice, buoyant acids. Ready to drink right now, it’s like a very friendly take on a Saint-Joseph. I prefer the deeper, earthier prior vintages I’ve had, but this is very nice in its own, understated way.

Bought three $20 syrahs and this was my favorite. A little like a Sonoma syrah i like. Not too sweet or thick.
