1989 - wow! Aged amazingly well, with fine tannins and nice acidity. Elegant. Mostly secondary notes of tobacco, eucalyptus, cinnamon spice, and a bit of vanilla. Some left over fruit in the background of the plum kind. Really great. — 5 months ago

This is really awesome, an incredible Ribera del Duero. Concentrated, but fresh. Fine tannins, and good acidity. Expressive fruit (berries and black cherry), spice, smoke, and aromatic herbs. Oak is subtle, and plays a supporting role here. Just brilliant - and a great wine with lamb or Latin food. — 2 months ago
Nice, archetypal Napa cab from mountain fruit. Cherry, plum, tobacco, spice, cedar. Tannins are firm, and the wine is on the rich side. It is oak-forward but it’s balanced. — 3 months ago

Happy Easter! Uses a lot of new French oak, and it shows but it’s well-integrated. It tastes like a marriage between a California Cabernet and a classic rioja, modern in style but very good. Intense concentration, silky tannins on the palate with medium+ acidity. chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, spice, a bit of earth, and rich dark fruit that’s nearly jammy but not quite. — 9 days ago
