Abeja Estate Skysill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, Walla Walla Valley, Washington State
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Nose of plums, cherries, currants, light oak, chocolates, black pepper, herbs, earth, spices, light vegetables, light barnyard and tobacco leaf.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, cooked cherries, plums, oak, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla Valley. Still young, but already enjoyable even by itself. Elegant and fruit forward. Complex and rich.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
This Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a great sipping wine, that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot. Aged for 33 months in (75% new) French oak barrels. A tiny production of only 7 barrels.

This is a delicious Chardonnay from Walla Walla Valley. Rich and fruit forward, with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. Showing good balance and Burgundy in style.
Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already enjoyable, even by itself. Would continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
This Single Vineyard Chardonnay is a great sipping wine, and better when not too cold. Elegant and good by itself or with food.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in (20% new) French oak barrels for 9 months. A tiny production of only 1,300 bottles.

This is a very tasty Syrah from Walla Walla Valley. Elegant and nicely balanced.
Drinks like a new world Syrah with a Cabernet Franc touch, and very true to the Terroir.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Will be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.
