D'Oliveiras

Reserva Madeira Bastardo 1927

The rarest of them all and a crown jewel of D'Oliveiras, one of only two who even make Bastardo. So complex with unbelievable power and intensity and racy acids balancing its delicate sweetness. Finishes forever. A profound Madeira! — a month ago

Cantina Gaffino

Il Buon Bastardo Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Deep purple in color; black cherries, blackberries, and pepper with hints of baking spices on the nose; medium acidity, medium minus tannins; tastes like cherries, blackberries, and graphite with a long finish. Nellie says it's good and well balanced. I think it's a good cab and I'd be happy to drink it again. — 2 years ago

Harrington Wines

Trousseau 2018

I was not that familiar with this varietal and so thought I would wiki for all interested: “Trousseau or Trousseau Noir, also known as Bastardo and Merenzao, is an old variety of red wine grape originating in eastern France. It is grown in small amounts in many parts of Western Europe; the largest plantations are today found in Portugal, where most famously it is used in port wine. It makes deep cherry red wines with high alcohol and high, sour candy acidity, and flavours of red berry fruits, often complemented - depending on production - by a jerky nose and an organic, mossy minerality.” ABV 13% — 2 years ago
