Ruby in color with a brick hue.
Fruity nose with red fruits, and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black fruits, light wood, earth, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf, chocolates and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This young Grenache blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is already delicious. Elegant and fruity. Complex and engaging.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. An interesting wine with red fruits on the nose and black fruits on the palate.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
Fermented in French oak barrels for 6 months.
15% alcohol by volume.

Grand cru Vins Jaunes from Baud Père & Fils in Jura with a Crozet dish from Savoie: nice way to beat the blizzard of the East coast with some comfort from the old world. The 1999 wine has a wonderful color, nice dryness and old nut taste. — 10 years ago
