Lots of plum rounding this even-tempered Monastrell. Paired with gripping cassis and light smoke in the nose; anise, deep cherry and velvet acidity in the mouth. The finish goes on and on, and I'm not complaining. The old world color made me think I was going to get something more complex. Despite that, this is a pleasant crowd pleaser. — 7 years ago
