Bit sweet no burn but a warming feel. Has a pleasant finish with no alcohol burn. My Russian friends prefer a bit more punch. Comes in an amazing case for the bottle which is all you are really buying. The bottle itself is ridiculously heavy as well with a replacement top for later use as a cognac decanter. — a year ago

Incredible flavor and floral finish very nice sipping whiskey — 2 years ago
This is actually the new Eagle Rare 12 year, which is really dumb because a lot of Eagle Rare is released at 12 years. Marketing? Tarrifs? Either way, I had to buy it to maintain one of my contacts. I also scored a cool tequila aged in Elmer barrels, which I shall review this week.
This bourbon is great, as ER always is. It's my desert island, everyday sipper.

124.9 proof but not as hot as it seems. I really think these bottles improve after being opened for a bit. Not sure what I rated this prior but it’s a full mouth feel and punch. It’s on the sweeter side for me with a little bit of wood and a finish that lasts a long time. I get pipe tobacco aromas from the empty ;) glass. Reminds me of those old tobacco tin cans my grandfather had. I think I saved one somewhere just for the memories. Never got into a pipe. — 2 years ago

An exceptional wheater. Sweet heat, a little peat. Not rye, wheat... what else rhymes? The 90 proof makes it a bit thin compared to the Antique 107, but it's in the same wheelhouse and I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating pickled herring.
