Deep ruby/purple in color, the aromas jump out of the glass on this wine. Blackberries, vanilla, pencil lead, and a hint of black pepper, but mostly blackberries with oak. Full-bodied this wine is bringing it. Amazing balance with fruit pumping across the long finish. Tannins are there but not overbearing. This is a very big, bold wine. So good, this wine could age for at least another 5 years, but it is super enjoyable now. — 4 years ago

This cuvée of the best of Bedrock’s best Zinfandel lots offers a big nose of blackberry and underbrush, followed with tart dark berries, graphite, mild acidity and classic Zin spice. Out of the gate it’s a bit edgy but with time in the glass shifts to an incredibly smooth, slightly oaked wine with many classic cab attributes. Wonderful either way. — 3 months ago
