Vintage 2020 | Modern marketing name and label. The Spanish can do magic with monastrell (= mourverdre). Unbelievable stubborn when popped and poured, beautiful smell. Given 24 hours aeration it develops lovely: smooth taste, glorious fruit. I selected it to pair Indonesian food, which is difficult for matching. It works. — 4 months ago
This was my birthday wine from Total Wine. One of the staff recommended it. It tastes like a small batch, old recipe. Smooth, dry, with just a tad of sweet berry finish. Will definitely purchase again! — 2 months ago
Half price bottle night and a great selection from the sommelier. Not a full dark berry bouquet in the nose and struggling to place everything. Mouthfeel is soft but not velvety. Tannins are medium and finish is long. So far a great bottle! — 3 months ago
Dark purple in color. Bold and full bodied. Better if opened for a little while to breathe. Good overall for the price point. — a month ago
Great balance of fruit and acid. East drinking. — 2 months ago
TW Nice wine but nothing extraordinary, good value when it's on sale. — 3 months ago
Not your standard jammy Monastrell: deep wafting (mostly) dark fruited aromas, licorice & minerals, just oozing - peppery notes as well. Broad smooth on palate (med + weight) not much acidity, rugged tannins leading to modest finish. Great QPR @ Costco — 4 months ago

Had the 2016 on Derby Day 2025. Dark, rich fruits. Some chocolate with a hint of leather. Vanilla and caramel from the barrel. Very interesting wine. The artwork on the front label is absolutely fascinating. Had to do the back of the bottle to get it in this app. — 6 hours ago
