Too young. Only started to open up after a few hours. Disappointing at first but this has some potential. Definitely put it away in the cellar for 5-10 years. — 9 years ago
South Africa throwback. Very good. — 9 months ago
Great value. I prefer with some more bottle time. Decant — 2 years ago

Great with the food but a little sharp on its own. — 9 months ago
Nose is classic Touriga National violets, cherry liqueur, and earthy crushed stone. Soft and mouthfilling, it’s intensely minerally on the palate, with enough dark cherry extract fruit to keep it from being too one-dimensional. Tannins are super-soft, and there is abundant acidity.
UPDATE. A few hours later interesting notes of cinnamon are emerging. — 2 years ago
Great wine with sea food. Crispy and mineral. — 4 years ago
Bon vin de semaine! L’élevage est encore un peu trop présent pour se mériter un 9/10. — 6 years ago
Pale gold. Honeysuckle, cinnamon on nose. Full bodied mouth coating, with baked apples, citrus on palate. Question if slightly oxidized. Zippy acidity, tart finish. — 7 years ago
— 8 years ago

From the master, Raul Perez with fruit sourced from his family estate, the Joven (rabbit label) is predominately Mencia from 40-60 year old vines and aged in INOX.
Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2023 pours a deep purple color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of blackberries, Montmorency cherry, horse blanket, purple flowers, licorice, and crushed rock. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. Charming, rustic stuff. Drink now through 2030. — 3 months ago
