Another tightly knit, fragrant, Tannat of profound depth...merci Château d'Aydie! — 11 years ago
This is not the exact wine as the one I drank which is 70% Tannat and 30% Cab Franc. Smells of plums and black currants. Inky dark color. Taste is lots of fruit like a dark berry compote. Lots of tannin. So pairs well with fatty foods. First experience with Tannat and looking forward to many more! — 3 years ago
Delicious and tangy tart Tannat in its first blush of youth -tense blackberries meets sour cherries, chewy tannins and cheek tongue gently texture. — 9 years ago

Post crazy family dinner party notes. This sweet dessert Tannat from the Madiran area was a total surprise. I’d likely not have been able to pick it out from a tasting of 10-15 yr old vintage ports, except the alcohol (17%) is a little less prominent. Delicious. — 2 months ago
