[70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc] This is rich, ripe and lush (14.5% ABV), sweet oak notes currently are pretty evident, I think this will settle down with 2-4 years of aging, some mineral and just a tad of a green note from the Cab Franc in the solid finish, not mind blowing, but a pretty reasonable QPR on this one!! — 6 months ago

Nice sprightly balanced utility white house wine. Blend of 30 Gros Manseng, 30 "Sauvignon", 20 Columbard, and 20 Chardonnay. Good acid, nice fruit character with no nasty sweetness. Clay loam, minerality - Grand Bas Armagnac region, 8 generations. With the excellent elder-friendly ABV of 11.5. From Wine Cask; wine of the month @ $8. Got a case; could go for more. — 10 years ago

1996 Jacquart Blanc de Blanc Champagne Chardonnay. Elegant in every way, and a special gift from Fanie (the Superstar!) and Nicolas. Tastes like Speculoos-flavored Meert gauffres, puff pastry, lemon meringue, yellow apple. We had this with an excellent foie gras produced by François, J. Jacques et Benjamin Nauris from Lahosse in France's Landes region. The foie gras was a gift from our dear friends François and Marie Claude in Paris. — 12 years ago
