2019 vintage. A tiny 2 hectares Haut-Médoc estate owned by Fabien Autet, chef de culture at Malescot St. Exupéry. A rare blend of 5 grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenère. Another incredible Bordeaux under 15 euros! Very elegant, this is more about finesse than sheer power. Subtle nose with cherries, strawberries, and a distinctive floral touch. Medium-bodied, very fresh with juicy cherry and blackcurrant fruit, fine-grained tannin and a very good length. Amazingly cheap for this quality. Abv. 13,5%. And a Diam 10 cork without drying, praise the Lord! — 3 months ago
2018 vintage. Second wine of Cru Classé Malescot Saint-Exupéry. Charming nose with ripe black cherries, raspberry jam and some floral hints. This medium-bodied, fruit-driven Margaux is drinking well already with silky tannin and good length. Not very complex, but a very charming wine indeed. Abv. 14%. Good value at less than half the price of the Grand Vin, even if I would rate the less expensive La Tour de Bessan (tasted alongside) higher. — 4 years ago

50% Cab Sauvignon 35% Merlot some Cab Franc and PV
Well integrated tannins, nice rich berry nose and great balance fruit and acidity on the palate. At eight years has still time to mature more but showing it’s there for the long run.
Very nice package overall — a month ago
