Very very good. — 7 years ago
History goes back to the 17th century, one of the oldest chateau’s in the appellation, dating back to the 1600’s, when it was built by the Marquis de mons de Dunes. Mostly Merlot with intense berry fruit aromas and hot pepper spice. On the palate blackberry and blueberry fruit, almost jammy with oaky spice notes. Lingering with tight tannins ending a bit hot with pepper character and mineral tones. Good but needs more time. — 8 years ago

2018 vintage. This was still made under the CA ( Crédit Agricole) ownership. In 2019 the estate, together with La Tour de Mons, was sold to Nathalie Perrodo, who is doing a great job at Labégorce and Marquis d'Alesme. There seems to be historical evidence that the wines of (what was later called) Marsac Séguineau were considered fifth growth quality pre 1855, but it wasn't classified because of the very small production and the fragmentation of the vineyards. The Château was only constructed in 1886. Bordeaux is a fascinating region, not only for wine aficionados, but also for history lovers. In any case, this is already a delicious wine, exhibiting the famous Margaux elegance, without lacking power. Very good value too. I hope to find some recent vintages soon, as I expect the wines to progress under the new ownership. Abv. 14%. — 4 months ago
Sunlight des tropiques (like a famous Belgian song) brewed in the Mons area. Session IPA with strong ananas and tropical fruit hints. The label points a variety if hops: citra, mandarina, bavaria, chinook, colombus. Perfect. — 3 years ago
This is ACTUALLY the Mountain Plains White Blend. First vintage for this 3 Portion blend of Petit Manseng/Vio/Chard. 18 mons on barrel - while the tastes is hugely obtuse right now, the mouthfeel is wonderful. I have 1 more bottle and think another 2 years in bottle will make it sing. Nice effort Matthieu. — 6 years ago

Fizzy, dark cherries, earthy - great value — 9 years ago

A gift from our friend Steve L. a few years ago, which we drank on the occasion of our 19th anniversary. Nice “jammy” blackberry fruit flavor; dry and medium to full bodied. A 2018 vintage that we enjoyed during 2025. I would expect the wine is one that ages well. — 8 months ago
