2020 vintage. Once part of the huge Soutard estate, this Château was known as Petit Faurie de Souchard until 1969. In the 1922 edition of Cocks & Feret, it was considered as first growth quality and stylistically somewhere in between the great wines of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. As in January 2014, it was bought by the Dassault family, it was expected to be incorporated into Dassault, but that doesn't seem to be the plan. Attractive perfume of red fruit, cuberdon, flowers, and spicy oak. Lush, with good depth and concentration, fresh acidity and a long, spicy finish. Very good value. Abv. 14,5%. — 3 years ago
