Hitting its stride nearing peak drinking window. Great nose and complexity on the palate with dark fruit, well integrated tannins, and a long finish. Black cherry, blackberry, plum, cranberry, coffee, chocolate, hint of vanilla. $45 at total — 6 years ago

Dry and Smokey Pinot. Medium fruits. Pretty for a birthday wine — 8 years ago
neighbors Batard Montrachet, good company for this lieux dit. Stunning wine—nose, palate, punches far above its appellation. Nose shows flowers and spice, palate contains nuts and citrus, with acidity that lifts the wine, minerality, complex wine, long clean finish. Superb wine. — 8 years ago
Incredible wine. Huge but not heavy. Dense, brooding, hibernating. Not super showy at this stage but still gives an incredible experience if you give it time and listen. 2013 is a great vintage for Batard as it is more of a lean, acid driven style which balances the big, rich, sometimes heavy (depending on producer and year) character. Great freshness and mineral character. Perfect balance. Well worth the money if you can afford it. Although it was fantastic at age 5, I can only imagine how amazing it’ll be in a decade or two. — 8 years ago
Red fruit with bright acidity and earth/mineral notes — 8 years ago
Tasted blind. Yellow gold in the glass, with similar notes as the 96 BBM and Batard next to it. Massive acidity. More floral than the other two. Very rich. This went neck and neck all night with the Batard as the best of the three. At first I liked the Chevy more but the Batard was right there too. 97+ — 4 years ago
