What is closed after you open it? A big Priorat! Dark and brooding until many hrs later- best after a day with bottle push, not decanted. Yum. — 6 months ago
When mature Jamet are on they’re sooo good. ‘98 is gorgeous tonight and even less evolved than a prior bottle. There’s such balance and clarity to its haunting richness wafting complex aromatics of deep blackberry fruit, smoked meats, camphor and black truffle with an elegant, satiny palate, melting tannins and a stunningly long mineral and savory finale. For my tastes, at its peak! — 10 months ago
It was Father’s Day and I had decided on grilled rack of lamb for dinner so I selected this bottle of 2011 Chateau Musar rouge from our cellar. According to Musar’s records, the 2011 vintage was one of the most challenging since the early 1990’s. It was ultimately a late-maturing vintage with harvest taking place on October 13th, the latest since the 1983 vintage!
I decanted this bottle about eight hours prior to dinner. It should be noted that immediately upon opening, the bouquet was strikingly gorgeous with powerful aromatics that were obvious from several feet away and this trait carried through until dinner time.
In the glass, the wine presents a deep garnet color. Slightly turbid with a near opaque core. On the nose, black plums, blackberries, cassis, tobacco, organic earth, exotic spices, leather, spiced meat, and pomegranate. I detect a touch of VA as well. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the nose with an added bit of red rope licorice. Lovely, long, savory…amazing. This was a brilliant compliment to the lamb (which was served with beets and goat cheese and fattoush) and everything I wanted in a Musar tonight. Drinking well now with a hefty decant and I expect well cellared examples to drink well past 2035. — 3 years ago

Decant. Needs oxigen. Great value — 2 years ago
Easy drinking. Not much experience with Albariño - somewhere between Pinot Grigio and sauv blanc. Subtle tropical fruits and a touch of minerality. — 3 years ago
A blend of Cariñena, Grenache and Syrah.
On the nose cherry, black fruits, vanilla, touch of cedar, medium bodied palate with blackberry, earthy notes, fine acidity and balance. And an urban legend : every year wine inexplicably vanished from the barrels, the monks who made the wines believed the angels having their part of the wine 😇 — 5 months ago
Showing well! Consistent with my prior notes — 6 months ago
Dec 2025: PnP, takes some time in glass to unfold, oak is unnoticeable - good, nice nose and balance, good experience — 6 years ago
Riesling espagnol, nez sur les agrumes citron mandarine, citron vert, qq notes florales, chèvrefeuille. La bouche révèle une belle acidité tranchante! — 3 years ago
Very interested Chardonnay, instant strong earthy and citrus flavours. Slowly mellows with a clean aftertaste. Just leaves a refreshing citrus twang in the cheeks. Definitely a favourite. Corte €7.60 Comparison: Veiga Naum, so much drier, Veiga lighter and fruitier, Raimat Chardonnay more intense and better long drink — 3 years ago
Blend of 96% Sauv Blanc with 4% Sauv Gris adding an interesting dynamic to the wine & distinctive aromas (prior to ‘18 vintage some Semillon added). Pale lemon color, citrus, tropical & floral aromas. On the palate peach, melon, herb & earthy tones, well balanced with acidity, smooth yet robust on a long finish ending rich with wet stone character. Good value! A Fav!! Very consistent! — 4 years ago
Medium ruby; medium intensity aromas of dark fruit, blackberry, black plum, black cherry, vinyl, underbrush, cedar, baking spices; dry, medium plus acid, medium ripe tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, very well balanced and well integrated, a big wine but not overwhelming — 5 years ago

Poured into a decanter to remove sediment prior to service; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 1986 pours a garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of cassis, dried blackberries, green bell pepper, tobacco, dried purple flowers, earth and fine cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium (integrated) tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A solid but somewhat demure showing, particularly in the midpalate. Drink now. — 21 days ago
