Conservatòri, 100% Mauzac Blanc. My first encounter with this heirloom varietal. Dry to slightly off dry, rounded mouthfeel. White floral, lime, underripe lemon and underripe orchard fruit flavors. Mineral finish. Refreshing and different. Medium body, acid, alcohol. Vanilla-like aftertaste. Some lactic character in the finish emerges after 30 minutes. Beautiful wine. Has a big presence but is well balanced and shows good structure. On the palate, it is dense and complex with currents of anise, loam, and graphite enriching a dark-fruited foreground. Displays noticeable earth and herbal qualities in an otherwise fruit-forward package. Possesses a long and balanced finish. Very well done. — 7 years ago
Dry, fun, perfect with oysters — 8 years ago
This may be my favorite new wine. Simply delicious! I shared a whole case with friends over the course of a few weeks. Cannot get enough, and it is reasonably priced! Languedoc wines are really starting to shine. — 9 years ago
For dinner at Costes with duck. Vintage not specified on list but 2019 was brought out so it’s got a number of years on its shoulder! Excellent high altitude German style of leanness, acid married to finesse and tightly wound elegance. Perfect with the duck — 17 days ago
BYOB event for the Commanderie des Costes du Rhône at Temple Court. Light in color but a fragrant nose with good acidity and tertiary flavors on the palate. Enjoyed with roasted duck breast. — 3 years ago
This was quite nice with lots of brioche and yeast flavors. Maddie in the traditional method with 100% Mauzac. — 5 years ago
Adore the pineapple taste that shines through. It paired well with Marcona almonds and havarti on a board. — 6 years ago
Dry, delicious. Refreshing tiny bubbles. Would buy again. Paired well with salty spicy grilled chicken n cashews, grilled pineapple. More than perfect for the price. — 8 years ago

2015, Haut-Lirou Les Costes, AOP Pic Saint Loup, famille Jean Pierre Rambier. Très bien, souple, équilibré agréable. Sur le fruit rouge — 8 years ago
Cava GR brut nature molt aromàtic, tocs fruita dolça i flors blanques, fonoll, un punt de vi ranci i fonoll. Color groc amb un xic d’evolució. Molt bo en boca, elegant, omple, bombolla petita, acidesa alta, sabor de poma al forn i un punt de sequedat en boca. Llarg regust amb un toc amarg molt al final. 17€ Rcp molt bona! — 9 years ago

For dinner at Costes. Quite good Langrein but probably needs more years. Well balanced with good fruit and earthiness but quite closed in. Had it again next evening and it’d opened up — 17 days ago
