Clear, pale ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, strawberry jam, and baking spices; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body, high alcohol, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of maraschino cherries, raspberries, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is well balanced and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie didn't like it. — 18 days ago

Last night I opened the 2016 Château Rose Sainte-Croix made from Left Bank Bordeaux grapes mainly the Médoc - Listrac. The blend is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, menthol, licorice, spice, some oak and dark earth.
On the palate I am getting black cherry, blackberry, black currant, cedar, licorice, tobacco, herbs, a vegital note, spice and earth.
This wine is full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium + grippy sandy tannins that leave you with a long dark fruit earthy finish. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend, please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 4 years ago

Still young need maybe a couple of years... but very fresh, smooth and balanced.. it's also very alive! Something a get in natural wines... this one is organic but not certified or qualified as natural but a lot of elements are there, specifically that lively character... very affordable tasty organic wine ... This my first Carignan I think! — 10 years ago

2019 Château Les Marcottes, Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. I have huge respect for people who still produce these sweet wines that are difficult to make and unfortunately not very popular. Therefore, kudos to the Boudat family for producing this delicious, well-balanced sweet wine that is sold in supermarkets for a silly price (8 euro!). Abv. 13,5%. — a day ago
