Another oldie, probably just past its peak. 38 years old - not bad! Barn-sided red with some brick on the edge. Lots of cedar, graphite, black pepper and cigar ash to smell but little fruit. Nice smooth tannins, still a little puckering. Medium acidity. For flavor there are some darker berries and red cherry notes. It’s a nicely balanced wine. Good length on the finish. — 2 years ago
Clear deep gold. Abundant, genie-like nose of baked apple and birch. Medium palate confirms the nose -- the apple is green -- with a hint of ripe pear and mineral notes with solid, medium-plus acidity tempered by the barrel treatment. The Classique draws from the top vineyards around lower Seneca Lake, and the result is among the best the Finger Lakes has to offer. Excellent all-around white for rich seafood, pork, or poultry dishes, and especially the Thanksgiving table. Drink now 2021 through 2026. — 3 years ago
nose consists of black currant with a light mouthfeel and notes of light dark fruits — 2 months ago
12%. Plenty of acid. Very well made. Honeyed nose. Classic 1,1,6-Trimethyl-1,2-dihydronaphthalene (TDN) well in place. I am actually going away from describing it as goût de pétrole. TDN is just easier. Beyond that meyer lemon and ??? white peach. At the Meritage in Encinitas. — 4 months ago
Crunchy and tasty and refreshing and all the things you would want on a summer Saturday in Sonoma.
It's a Paloma of wines - grapefruit and squirt with a touch of effervescence (served from C02 kegs) but enough tequila to keep it interesting — 2 years ago
Lots of grapefruit and slate — 3 months ago

Just love this wine, new label! Nice blend of grapes from the Bierzo Valley, biodynamic. Deep Ruby with loads of Berry fruits aromas adding some sweet floral spice and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry with a juicy mineral edge. Well balanced and integrated with fine chalky tannins, lively acidity and a long finish ending with fruit and spicy notes. Tremendous value for such a complex wine. — 2 years ago

This was rich and delicious. It was fair enough for Suckling to pose the question “Is this the best NZ Pinot so far”? Ticks all the requisite boxes - ripe red and black fruits, a creamy texture, a nice garrigue herbal note. This Pinot lives up to the gorgeous site - one of the most awesome views you will see from the top of the vineyard over Lake Wanaka. Most impressive. — 2 months ago
