Super interesting. Reminiscent of a gamay with a beautiful nose. Medium high acid and a fairly thin unstructured body. Perfect for pork or duck. — 5 years ago

Nice, crisp Albariño. #spanishwines #albariño #thisiswhatido — 9 years ago
Young fresh and almost Sauvignon Blanc like with kitty urine and boxwood. Chunky acidity but you can feel the depth and substance behind it. A testdrive, the remaining sixer can wait till summer. — 7 months ago
Outstanding Albariño by Xosé Luis Sebio (winemaker at Coto de Gomariz). From old vines in Aios (Sanxenxo) in the Salnes subzone of Rías Baixas. Clean, precise nose with aromas of citrus, minerals, sea breeze. Very refreshing, elegant on the palate. Citrus, zesty acidity. Long, saline finish. Very very good — 4 years ago

Started by the Creixell family in 1991. Produced with the fruit from their 12-hectare estate in Valle del Salnes. Vivid straw yellow with citrus and stone fruit aromas and herb notes. The palate shows apple and grapefruit flavors, crisp with floral and mineral tones. Medium finish, well balanced, generous acidity on a soft ending. Easy drinking. Very nice! — 8 years ago

A nice Albariño, grapes from the Contado do Tea subzone and the Salnes subzone, aged on lees for about 9 months, pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. On the palate pronounced flavors of melon and lemon with hints of toasty notes from lees aging. Long finish, vivid acidity, ending with fruit and smoky character. Will age well. — 10 months ago

Adegas Gran Vinum Mar de Viñas Albariño Rias Baixas/Val do Salnes 2018
A glass w work lunch of homegrown tomatoe/avocado and tinned sardines.
Medium yellow color. Aromas of drupe fruits (peach/apricot). Mouth is more about peach pit with a hint of bitterness and a savory, salty element. Went better w the tomatoes than the sardines (umami harmony?)

Underripe peaches, a little salty, nice weight. A very fine example of Albariño. 12.5% — 6 months ago
