The complex 2020 Savagnin Côtes du Jura Cuvée du Professeur unwinds with prominent notes of saffron, dried chamomile, ripe pear, yellow apple and a touch of jasmine. Powerful and concentrated, the 2020 is a transparent reflection of the warm vintage, but the steely acidity cuts through like a scalpel, flawlessly preserving freshness. Focused, persistent and saline on the finish, the 2020 is simply awesome. (Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2020 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a subtle reduction on the nose that enhances the aromatics. It is well-defined, with more yellow fruit in situ, crushed stone and rosemary oil. The oak is very well integrated. The palate is energetic and tensile from the start, with the reduction just right. It is not a deep Genevrières, yet taut and linear, almost Puligny-like towards the sustained finish. Excellent, though it needs bottle age to work through the reduction. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2024)

The 2005 Duhart-Milon is a bit of a beast. Displays quite a dense, unforgiving pencil lead and tobacco-scented nose, and the fruit seems to take a back seat at the moment. The palate is well-balanced but undeniably brawny and rough-hewn, the kind of Pauillac you wouldn't want to meet down a dark alley at midnight. This is a bit hard going at the moment. This was an ex-château bottle served at Maison François in London. (Neal Martin, Vinous, January 2023) — 3 years ago

The 2017 Petit Chablis offers impressive intensity on the nose: a light oyster shell scents percolating through the citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with a taut line of acidity, linear in style with a brisk but focused finish. Very fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2018) — 8 years ago

Earth and herbs on the nose, riper fruit but very nicely balanced. — 7 years ago
The 2016 Mercurey Les Naugues 1er Cru has a superb bouquet with very precise scents of raspberry, red cherry and a touch of fennel. The palate is very well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, a little ferrous in style with ample finesse on the finish. This is an excellent Mercurey from François Raquillet.
