Dark fruit and hint of vanilla on nose. Fruity, pleasantly high acidity, tannins mellow but present. Nice, thick mouthfeel which helps with lingering taste but not velvety. — 6 years ago

Interesting nose. Some Zin aromas of cherry and licorice, but some other element. Like linseed or camphor. Taste is excellent. Explosive mountain fruit and jammy stuff. Leather and bark too. Hint of spice box. Finish hits a bit more fruit and caramel then I love but the tannins come through too. A complex and unique foothills Zin. — 8 years ago

A nicely balanced can that we selected to pair with lamb chops. Dark berry and a hint of eucalyptus on the nose; palate shows good acid-fruit-tannin balance with a hint of mint. Really nice--2012 shows nicely and could have cellared longer though it clearly doesn't need it for our taste. — 8 years ago
