I am not quite sure of the varietals in this blend. . However, the fruit and the acidity is in near perfect harmony. A really nice tasting blanco from Portugal. — 3 years ago
Top-pick value for money. Great blend (ideal combo for Chardonnay wine-lovers that also want that great specific Portuguese Alentejano touch). 2019 is very refined & balanced. — 4 years ago
Delicious and refreshing for a ridiculously low price!👍👍👍 — 7 years ago
Funky after taste, but I can’t figure out what the taste was. Very enjoyable with each sip. Light and super easy to drink (maybe too easy), off color yellow, not very orange. Tried later at a bar and had a very vinegar taste. Unsure if they related. — 8 years ago
Great, silky texture and dark fruit, with lots of fig. A value, too. — 11 years ago
Starting my 3 week exploration of Portuguese wines with this entry level white from Alentejo.
A blend of Arinto, Verdehlo, Gouveio, Alvarinho and Viosinho aged partially in concrete and partially in used wood.
Golden in colour with green reflexes. Nice character, southern in style, a bit (nicely) rustic with ripe lemons, dried herbs, a bit of white peach. A touch of spicy, waxy, smoky notes. Rich, savoury and fresh.
On the palate this is medium bodied, with nice balance & freshness. Good depth & length and suitable for late afternoon terrace sipping but also will hold its weight with food.
A very nice effort. — a year ago
Stellar performance of the Esporâo private selection branco 2019 vintage (tasted July 2022). — 4 years ago
Beautiful wine! Mineral! Dry and so elegant. A must! — 8 years ago
Could be a blend but in any event it is predominantly from the Arinto grape. Medium gold in colour. Aromatic notes with mineral and pear with lively acidity. Medium body and length. Drink now or could cellar with that acid but essentially drink now. Great value for $18. — 10 years ago
Green apple. Little pear. Delicious juicy stuff. — 13 years ago
Nose : good. Good fruit. Candied lemon?
Palate: lovely lemon fruit. Delicous.

Waxy lemons with a hint of dried herbs, a hint of lime, a slight whiff of mint. Fresh, savoury, quite cool.
On the palate this is medium to light, juicy, fresh. A beautifully surprising 12.5% alc (for Alentejo!) clear, crisp, with great flow and a herby, slightly spicy finish.
Delightful!
A blend of Arinto, Antao Vaz and Viosinho. — 10 months ago

A fantastic white blend made from Arinto and Fernao Pires. Straw yellow in colour. Aromas of lemon zest, peach, grapefruit, chamomile. Very well balanced, dry white with moderate length and mineral finish. — 6 years ago
A white wine made from red grapes. Stone fruit, minerals, very aromatic. Unusual. — 8 years ago
Lovely aroma of red berries, lingonberry and a little oak. Smooth flavor and a really good wine for mingling as well as with food. — 10 years ago

Esporão Reserva Branco 2023 is a complex, full-bodied white from the Alentejo region. Creamy texture, balanced acidity, and notes of fruit, citrus with hints of oak. It's made from indigenous grapes like Antão Vaz, Arinto, and Roupeiro, offering a rich palate with a long, vibrant finish, making it a classic and harmonious wine. — 9 days ago
