Light pink color. Complex aromas and flavors of red strawberries/plums/raspberries, cranberries, grapefruit, kiwi, watermelon, wild flowers and fresh herbs. Pleasant mineral note on the long finish. Zesty acidity and lovely texture. Crisp and refreshing. Pleasant surprise and very well made. Thanks for sharing Ron B and Aaron B! — 4 months ago
Golgotha - Scholium Project 2010.
Widowmaker Block Hudson Vineyards.
Abe, the man who would be king, gifted this bottle (amongst many others) to me after being an Intern in 2013. They travelled from Napa to London to Western Australia.
15 years later on a Monday night of a week I wasn’t meant to be drinking…
I pulled it out of the wine fridge in Margaret River. Cork fresh as a daisy and some decent sediment on first pour. Aerated with Vinturi and poured. Some early VA blew away and a Star Was Born. The floral powderiness on my mid palate is intoxicating. Never before have I tasted a big inky, 15% delicate ballerina like this. So glad I opened it alone so we can have a week together understanding each other. Has to be Petite Syrah. Wine study X 1000 ♥️ Pretty Pimpin — 5 months ago
So impressed with this vintage. Deep and concentrated nose and palate. Displays quince and white fleshed fruits, coupled with a dense, oily mouthfeel. Superb length with very little acidity to talk about. Finishes sweet and voluptuous. Overall, the integration is textbook. — 5 days ago
Mature but still vibrant with soft fruit and modest acidity. — 3 months ago

At 10-years, a beautiful experience…deep, dark pour with no signs of bricking…dark fruit (more purple and black) aromatics that just keep on developing…palate mirrors aromatics with strong fruit profile…pleasing texture/mouth feel…medium finish…hard to say how much longer one should hold…tonight, it was in the right place for our dinner — 4 months ago

Already on the downslope? Or just an advanced bottle? Big, creamy, caramel, pumpkin and canned pineapple, hints of honeyglazed ham. If anything, it could use some acidity, — 21 days ago
