Smooth, rich, deep, full bodied, easy drinking — 4 years ago
Last bottle of vintage. 48/29/23 blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignane. Inky dense purple, highly extracted. Whiff of rotten egg initially, dark cherry notes emerges later. Cola flavor with mint with length, chewy tannins in finish, light skin astringency. Needs time to open. Later black plum flavor emerges. Overall, soft, good old style Italo-California red. — 7 years ago

The name is not right.... but the so called specialists stick us on this one
A very deep montepulciano for the price. While most of the time they suit in the dark medium body... this one is full. An impressive job by italo Pietrantonj. It was not moving well at the store because of the more serious price range.... but since we taste it... we vouch for it and people are already coming back. Good acidity we'll balanced by a good winemaker. It still a montepukcusno but with a lot of "umph" — 3 years ago
Great notes of sweet fruit up front on the palate, a great Pinot Grigio. Reminds me why this is one of my favorite wines! — 6 years ago
Perfectly balanced. We enjoyed this immensely with some homemade pizza, though I suspect it to be much more versatile in pairings than that. A steal at $17. Even my Italo-suspicious, Francophile wife was impressed. — 8 years ago
Rocca delle Macìe was purchased in 1973 by the late Italo Zingarelli, a former boxer and film producer. Grapes exclusively from the estates of Rocca delle Macie, the Le Macie and Sant'Alfonso vineyards. Ruby with dark berry fruit aromas and oak scents, a blend of Sangiovese (80%) with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Flavors of black cherry and currants with cacao and tobacco notes. Firm tannins that softened after a glass, nice mouthfeel, lingering ending with oak and mineral tones. — 9 years ago
Fun blend, screams cal-italo. Look for. — 10 years ago
Soft. Crowd favorite. — a year ago
Orange flowers and citrus on the nose. Sour cherry jam, strawberry, cassis on the palate. Little structure, balanced acidity. Heavier mouthfeel. Fantastic rosé. — 3 years ago
Delicious full bodied wine with cherry and fig flavors... — 6 years ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc and Merlot. Blackcurrant and tobacco on the palet with a very smooth and long finish.

Venetian vigneron bonanza. — 9 years ago
Manzoni Bianco? Sure, why not. Banana, lemon and lime, pineapple, honeydew melon (reminds me of the Italian Macedonia salad). Acidity is high, and it works with the fruit. Some green herbal notes. Not bad, not expensive. — 10 years ago

I guess I've had this once before. A little bit different style PN. Tannic, savory.
