This is lovely. Light berries, flowers, some earth and funk. Really opens up over a few hours. Seemed to get more floral. Some earth and meat and pepper and raspberry. Overall great mouthfeel and flavor. — 6 months ago
Celebrate birthday, the 2007 DJP Musigny drinking nicely, smooth and savory. But as comparison wise , I love the Jacques Fredric Mugnier Nuits-St-Georges 2014 better than this. — 4 years ago
A great magnum! — a month ago
2016 vintage. Excellent fill and cork. Decanted with zero sed. Light/light-medium body. Tasted 45 minutes and 1.5 hours post-decant. All about the back-end white pepper/white sage/subtle clove spice rack finish. Excellent, lingering finish tickling different parts of the palate. More of a delicate Musigny. 08.01.25. — 8 months ago
2005. So freaking smooth. Great balance. Little dark fruit tartness toward back. Wish had a touch more young fruit on the front. But so good. — 5 years ago
Popped and poured. Drank over four hours. Nose muted but beautifully elegant on the mouthfeel. Very lovely wine — 2 months ago
Another superb 13! Mugnier’s Fuées, a magical vineyard and essentially a southern extension of Bonnes Mares, is just stunning tonight wafting layers of sweet strawberry-rhubarb, black tea, rose petals, game and smoky minerals. It’s liquid velvet in the mouth with an energetic spine of cool minerality and balanced acids adding freshness and focus to its delivery. A beguiling combination of power and elegance and a fabulous expression of the vintage. — 6 months ago
So expressive, finessed & elegant with its perfumed nose of red cherry, berry fruit, vosne spice & floral notes — a year ago

Built up a bit of excitement in selecting this Nuit-Saint George, then opened it up and neaaahhh!
All a bit flat. Nothing terribly wrong and it wasn’t corked, just no major aromas or flavors. Guess you can’t win em all. Or, we’ve just been spoiled with amazing wine and every now and then you pick an average one.
Still a great meal 😊 — 15 days ago
