Jose pastor selections. 2014. Love. Love — 5 years ago
Citrus flower on the. Jose. Intense citrus. Such great acidic balance. Wonderful. So clean and fresh. Not a sledgehammer auslese Great because of the balance but not obvious weight. Bought from fass selections ... epic intense juicy tartness as it opens. Wow. ... a week in still great. Stone fruits. Acidity. Wow. — 7 years ago
Love what Jose Pastor is importing right now. During my travels throughout Spain last summer, orange wine was a prevalent drink in all of the 3 Michelin star restaurants. Without a doubt I would say orange wine is the next rose. notes of citrus and rose petals on the nose. Thyme, Coriander, navel orange, grapefruit, lemon zest on the palate. Great minerality and finish. Hope to get more of this soon! — 8 years ago

Favorite of the Bichi Mexican wines. All were awesome, thanks to Dustin Wilson MS and Jose Pastor for bringing these gems to NYC. Officially a believer of Mexican vino. — 9 years ago

First drink since finishing an antibiotic course and awaiting my root canal in a few weeks. This is zippy fresh but has enough of a bass note- it reminds of some of the amphorae matured trepat I’ve tried-so I stay interested. Also doesn’t shout summer wine. Blackberries, & compote, good balance between fruit & dry. Nicely done for about 19$. Jose Pastor importer — 6 years ago
Canary Island product. Pale harvest orange-yellow, excellent clarity. Dried fruit or fruit leather notes in nose. Smoky apricot, peach flavors with a touch of salinity. Really different white; yes, a curiosity, but also a good pour. Some astringency in finish. — 8 years ago

Young Tempranillo.
There’s a lot of dirt going on here , both pos. & neg.
N: Musky Strawberries, dirt, reticent.
Supposedly a rather short maceration before being put up in used barriques.
P: Mashed up red fruits, no tannins, like dirty feet. Nice on a hot night w a bit of a chill. No SO2
I keep try Jose Pastór selections and I don’t think we get along.
Addendum: Much better day two after refrig w rubberized stopper. Still not much on the nose, but the palate has rounded”up” into something nice. — 4 years ago
Jose Pastor Selections. Grenache blend from Madrid. 13.5%. Bright, fruity, fresh. Nice taco wine. — 7 years ago
Bright briar fruit and black pepper initially, fleshing out into blueberry pie and baking spice on the second night. Absolutely delicious, juicy, spicy Mencia with both muscle and finesse-both weighty and low alcohol. What a steal from the Jose Pastor portfolio. — 8 years ago
I’ve never been a huge Chilean wine guy, apparently I need to dig deeper. This 100% Pias from Maule Valley has me rethinking the region entirely. Naturally fermented in cement, finished in oak. Plummy, funky, spice box. Strangely good. Noted: José Pastor Selections. Def need to drink again. Thanks @Adrienne Bax — 8 years ago
Jose Pastor continues to rock my world for flat-out value. This is a very elegant wine. Crushed berries, earth, spice and black pepper. Floral elements remind me of an old-school Saint Joseph. True delicacy and finesse from a great producer. — 8 years ago
