Nice Cabernet that paired well with filets wrapped in bacon, scalloped potatoes, salad and baked tomatoes stuffed with spinach . — 3 years ago
Ripe, still saturated, almost viscous 100% Syrah.,.Blue black in color, blackberry and cassis pour from the glass. Stylistically, I’m moving away from this style, but tonight with medium rare filets, fresh golden beets, and a baked potato with all the trimmings, I was smiling and thoroughly enjoyed the super-abundance.. — 7 years ago

Bourgogne Blanc, went nice with our cod filets w/ ginger & scallions+ wild rice pilaf. Was actually best on the 2nd day after opening. — 7 years ago
Spectacular! Really wanted something special and this delivered: purchased in CdP, and lugged across the world 12 years afterwards. Showing some maturity w/med ruby colored and bricking on edges. After 30mins in decanter started showing enticingly complex nose of Chinese 5 spice, mulberry, stewed blueberry, bramble & bush, white pepper, sweet earth, baking spices, hoisin, etc. A real charmer. Med weight on palate, lithe smooth graceful regal, impeccable balance & cut. Stood up to grilled NY Strip & Filets w/sautéed shiitake, asparagus & baby potatoes. — 2 years ago
It’s too young. Went great with Costco filets — 6 years ago
60/40 Carignan/Grenache...Opened as midweek foil for Filets and Bakers. Showing little sign of age... vibrant dark berry notes with noticeable ABV... bit more “modern” and fruit/forward than expected. Recall buying two of these at 50% discount. Probably at $15-20 a far price...but tasted fully “Parkerized”. Little if any sense of terroir or connection with place. — 7 years ago
Paired perfectly with medium rare filets. Mild tannins for such a young Bordeaux but the Cabernet Franc gave the earthy rustic flavors that tamed the tannins and gave structure and depth to the wine. Really didn’t need decanting and was good right out of the bottle. — 3 years ago
Ripe, rich, deep... this really doesn’t drink like a 23 year old. Lots of sweet figgy fruit. Medium weight, a bit one note with the sweet fruit right upfront. Beautiful accompaniment to medium rare filets. Longevity of California Cabernet always surprises me (though it shouldn’t by now). Long silky finish. — 6 years ago
At a nice reasonably priced Italian restaurant on our way to Park City and enjoying this wine with filets. A nice escape from Vegas over inflated prices and crowds. — 7 years ago
Remarkable Rioja at an affordable price! Let it decant for an hour and you will be rewarded with a dark fruit forward, balanced oak and the right touch of smokiness....to compliment our seared Tuna filets. Rioja, so hot right now. — 7 years ago

Very nice but not quite at the same level as the one we had a couple years ago. Certainly extremely Bordeaux in terms of typicity. Paired with some La boite peppercorn blend crusted wagyu filets from Allen brothers. Definitely ready to go, opened with cork pop for 3.5 hours and decanted for 1. — 2 years ago
