Some of us, being Nebbiolo supplicants, love Ghemme for its paradoxical meaty, bloody, yet light qualities. This has it in spades, on the edge of cherry cough syrup but never quite there. The woods, especially on the nose. This wine would benefit from a large glass.
It’s a bit of a sneaky, under the radar winery, hopefully for a bit still.
Lots of cherries, loam, dirt, blood, stoniness. Delicious. A ‘17 feels just about right. — 2 years ago

Found this at machete. We asked for a robust red with a smooth finish and he brought out two choices. Both were good this was the best: — 5 years ago
Soft cherry, gentle earth, and a smooth dry finish. — 7 months ago
The nose on this reminds me of a specific wine I had (and sold) long ago. A 1983 Gewurz but damn I can’t remember the producer. (It will come to me.) So richly pungent with lychee and deep florals. Very full and, for a Gewurz, dry in the mouth. Nice acids too. Very impressed. — 10 months ago
