"Sunny mountain." From the lower Ahr with a high proportion of loess giving an easygoing charm. The barrique really stands out against the slender frame of the wine, giving lots of cedar and spice. Hopefully that will integrate better with time. — 10 years ago

Vintage 2015 | Frühburgunder makes me uncertain when to drink it? Very young within two years, are can it be kept and develop extra taste...? I've hit the last 4 out of 5 weekly wine committees and it has been a treat every time. This week, @Jeff Meyer hosted and schooled everyone on how good German wines can be!

My favorite red of the day. Mimicked #1 in that I got a lot of new world/RRV characteristics to it. Cedar, cola, Bing cherry notes. Thought possibly Oregon. Very Burgundian, but with a more fruit forward palate. Excellent. — 9 years ago
