Now that’s a “Super Tuscan” of another color! Wild, deep black cherry schnapps and mint/chocolate nose. Masserta huh.? Decanted this btl 3 hrs. following suit of others.( maybe didn’t need 3 on account of age)Silky smooth with fine tannins and acidity built in like tuck and roll upholstery. Corinthian “leather “ anyone? There have been many, many touted ST’s that pale before this.
After some time in the glass, some very Tuscan, red earththyness peeks through. Lovely stuff indeed. Perfect for a Wednesday all day Ragu w meatballs.

A well made version of vermentino.

Nose is aromatic lemon extract. Very fresh and clean. Very Italian. Some richness as it opens.

Palate is nicely mineral and balanced. Light gods lemon soda. Very sprightly on the palate. A hint of lemon pith. Richer as it opens. Great acidic balance.

Something in new wants to try this in 7 years for some reason.

Would be awesome with crudo.

It’s one of those wines that is an incredibly great version of what it’s supposed to be.

Man. I love this wine.

Nose is so floral. White and yellow flowers. Intense. Vermentino smoke comes out after 45 minutes.

Palate : elegant stone fruits. Sweet minerals.

Nose that fills up the whole room. I got rubber and ash and licorice and lipstick, but it’s a kaleidoscope and changes every five minutes for hours. Amazing stuff - wouldn’t waste it on a meal. — 4 years ago
