Color of egg white, quite pale. Nose is pretty good with ample amount of ripe fruits, like pineapple, tangerine, mixed with spice, mineral, and salty mineral. Sweet yet quite refined. Taste shows plenty of acidity, Sprite, spice, salty mineral, just a tiny bit watery. Aftertaste is a bit short with some more peppery flavor. Considering the price, totally a bargain. — 6 years ago

Simple yet graceful label. Syrah style bottle is a nice touch. Deep purple, smoke on the water color. Smells like berry compote (raspberry, blackberry and currants) and camphor. Flavors are woodsy and bittersweet. Plenty of earthiness. Plums, bar-b-que grilled red peppers, and morel mushrooms. This is complex what feels like cooler climate Syrah that has aged nicely, but could go even more. It’s got plenty of Southern Rhône vibe, but it’s also New World in a nice bright fresh way. I cannot believe this was going for $4 at Grocery Outlet. It’s worthy of a Syrah’s-around-the-world taste off. — 10 months ago

Must be in my cellar for like 12+ years.... Tried several times over the years, but only now it gets to a nice balanced point in maturity... At start it was mainly a very jammy fruitbomb. And that grew into a much more balanced Cab Sauvig, Carmenere, Syrah tasting wine. All sharp edges have gone, smooth and silky tanine. Just enough acids to keep it interesting, almost no sweets. Nice full herbs and spice flavours: cinamon, bay, licquorish over cheyy tones...
So the recommendation was to drink before 2010, and I'm happy I ignored that.

Vinho tinto assemblagem, cabernet sauvignon+carmenêre (minha uva predileta). Vinho límpido com coloração rubi, com um leve tom granada. Aroma inicial muito fechado. Usei um aerador para abrir os aromas, apareceu muito aroma de especiarias e algum erbáceo e um leve café no fundo. Na boca apresenta bom corpo, com taninos redondos e acidez equilibrada, e um leve adocicado devido seu teor alcoólico. Deixa a boca bem limpa e boa persistência. Deve acompanhar muito bem carnes suculentas. Safra 2015. 13,5% vol/acl. Chile/ Valle Colchagua. — 9 years ago
