Deep ruby color. Surprising depth of color for a #Burgundy #Volnay still fruity and fresh for a 2020 with only 38mg/L total sulfites. An amazing example of how clean and how delicious natural low intervention wines can be if they’re made well. — 6 months ago

Been a few years and this is drinking so well now but no rush at all. Nose is sour cherry and mid season cherry and lovely earthy minerals. Very fragrant and a hint of confection. Palate is sleek and juicy and very refined. It is a bit short but air will lengthen it I think. Juicy and elegant airy lovely purity and balance. Awesome depth and grainy, elegant tannins. Needs air to go higher. Let’s see what happens.

Really nice villages Volnay. You can taste the stem inclusion here. Lifted aromatics, red fruits. Stems add an herbal element on the palate. 2013s continue to show well. — 3 years ago

Nose has confectionary up the wazoo. Cherries dropped in a vat of cherry dust. Lovely stoney background and serious lift. Really powdery and refined. Sure it will open more. Palate is lush, sweet and decadent. Loads of tiny berry sweet cherry fruit and likely definition and clarity. Right as to be expected and will improve with air. Very fresh with extremely fine tannins and length. Great acidity. This is a 20+ year wine no doubt. — 4 years ago
