A winner from @ Garagiste’s case of rosés. Grenache/Cinsault/Rolle/Syrah.
With WINE!!!! On the back label in French and English.
Lovely subdued fruit, a bit of a powdery, talc quality many Provençal rosés carry.
Watermelon, Rainer Cherries, rosehips, nice balance of acidity.
With crab cakes on a muggy day and a lack of beer, perfect — 3 years ago
It’s 1/2 bottle n/v Billecart evening.
This is a more appropriate color of rose for the Rosé color of this champagne.
My go to n/v Rosé Champange for a number of reasons…quality & 1/2 bottle availability are right up there.
Blood orange, black cherries, Rainer cherries, lean strawberries, pomegranate juice, hints of raw rhubarb, grainy, grippy, sharp chalkiness, crunchy volcanics, limestone, sea fossils, baguette crust, deep white spice, orange lilies, peach roses, excellent, lively acidity with a rich, well balanced smart finish that starts clean, ripe fruits falling onto perfect minerality. — 5 years ago
This was so hedonistic for me, but within the realm of balance. The oak, lees integration, alcohol, and ripe tannin made for elixir that went straight to the pleasure center of my brain. Honey covered and grilled yellow peach, distilled honeysuckle, lavender, candied pear and Rainer cherry, crushed stones, orange peel, marzipan. So ripe and yet the full ML treatment worked so well. The phenolic Viognier bite was so suave and plush. — 6 years ago
Vegetal, mineral. Dry and rocky. Very drinkable. — 7 years ago
Congrats Philly! You all get next year & most others New England.
The 2003 Reserve has youthful aromas of red apple and juicy pear, which is followed by Rainer cherry. The fruit is accentuated by holiday spices, such as nutmeg and clove, as well as warm pie crust. Upon first taste there is generous fruit flavors of Satsuma orange, candied pineapple and strawberry, in addition to some peach. The palate is elegant and concentrated, with a quenching acidity and a long and lingering finish.
Varietal Composition: 75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay
Barrel Fermentation: 40%
Alcohol: 12.7%
Suggested Retail: $150
But actually probably paid closer to under $100 with the Riddlers Club shipment and discounts.
Honestly it was so good and the last 2 weeks were so gnarly I ended up drinking the whole bottle on Friday afternoon. — 8 years ago

Wow! Just wow! Brick colored Pinot wine looked toast but smelled amazing, full of cherries like Rainer and subtle tones of bees wax. Beautiful fruit soft and aged and mature for sure but damn! This is burgundy — 3 years ago
Beautiful. — 4 years ago
Boldness and finesse! This wine has layers. Cola, Rainer cherries, blueberries, wet earth, sweet spices, orange peel, kirsch.... The description can go on. The tannins are resolved and the acidity is still pleasant. The nose is perfumed, savory, and is a real joy to linger over while savoring the long finish. ( I dig the sandalwood notes). Bella’s Garden is certainly the most consistent of the Garden series wines and 2012 is a terrific vintage. This wine was waiting in my cellar, but I won’t wait too long to drink the next bottle as the wine is at its peak. — 7 years ago
On the nose, perfumed, candied fruits of strawberries, watermelon, cherries & Rainer cherries. Ballpark chewing gum, soft, powdery chalkiness and pink rose petals. The mouthfeel is round, ripe and fresh. Fruits are; ripe strawberries, watermelon, cherries & Rainer cherries. Ballpark chewing gum, roses petals and really like the soft, delicate, powdery chalkiness and minerality. Acidity is round, soft and mouthwatering. The long finish is round, fresh and delicious. The 2016 yield was about 1/2 of normal. Photos of; the Marasanny vineyard being harvested, outside shot of the Domaine & their stainless tanks in the the cellar as well as Cyril. Producer history and notes...Domaine Charles Audoin lies in the village of Marsannay-la-Côte. Descended from a long line of wine growers passing down from father to son, Charles Audoin took over the family property in 1972 with his wife Marie-Françoise, an oenologist by training. Located within the commune of Marsannay-la-Côte. Domaine Charles Audoin began with only three hectares but the estate has grown to nearly 35 acres with a diversity of soils. After taking over his father’s five acres of vineyards, Charles Audoin and wife Marie-Françoise developed the estate through the restoration and the purchase of new lots. Their vines are over 45 years of age on average and have a south-eastern orientation. Cyril prefers lower yields and has less intensive extraction for softer and more elegant wines. Happy Bastille everyone!

In the zone. This is drinking so well. Nose is divine. Elegant liquid minerals, white cherries and also rainer cherries and a dollop of apricot. Palate is juicy and mineral with almost no fruit and a slathering of minerals that just assault your palate. Just a wonderful wine. Nose develops a hint of orange zest now with air. Not elegant and not that long but what it lacks in charm and length it makes up for in intensity and flavor authority. — 3 years ago
It’s Trockenbeerenauslese, you say? Yes, I said that. This nectar is of magic! Candied peaches, tangy homemade orange marmalade, velvety ripe apricots and warm honey combine and dance across the pallet as you sip this amazing Austrian dessert wine. It’s truly beautiful. — 5 years ago
Can’t put this one down.... beautiful nose of dried rose pedal, dusty rainer cherry, coco bean. Earthy. Juicy blackcherry fruit bounds on the palate accented by espresso and cedar box. Cranberry too. Outstanding length with soft, persistent tannins. Great now, only better with cellar age. — 6 years ago
Dynamite stuff. 2006 is very good in the Nahe. Herbal nose, white cherries, apricots, super mineral, very clean. Palate is rich but super precise with lovely tangy apricot, grapefruit and Rainer cherry. Fresh and energetic with an icing like texture. Long, clean and super pure. Wonderful depth. — 7 years ago
Deep gold; medium intensity aromas of yellow apple, tart pear, Rainer cherries, golden raspberries, sultanas, mirabelles, caramelized pineapple, marzipan, brioche; developing; dry, medium plus acid, delicate mousse, medium alcohol, full body, pronounced intensity flavors of yellow apple, golden raspberries, sultanas, caramelized pineapple, brioche — 8 years ago

Vintage 2016 | fermented in cement egg. Incredible light colour. Citrus predominantly in smell, supportive honey and cinnamon. Beautiful balance. It is smart to cellar sylvaners! | paired with shrimps in tomato sauce. — a year ago
