This is a tasty Chardonnay from Carmel Valley in California. Elegant and nicely balanced. Rich and fruit forward.

Showing mild complexity, and good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

Chardonnay grapes were aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 10 months. A small production of less than 3,000 bottles.

Made with grapes grown from Rome to Latina, the 2013 vintage is probably very near to its own peak of drinkability. Tannins are gentle, but important. A vague herbal taste is what remains after the red fruit flavours vanished. A good wine coming for a very reasonable price. — 11 years ago

More going on with this vintage than the previous two years. Some barnyard funk on the nose. Big red fruit and spice to start with chewy tannins and acid to spare in the finish. This is a big wine that may soften with some time in the bottle. — 7 years ago

A lush nose of peach and melon along with a touch of dried herbs. The wine is full bodied on the palate with well integrated alcohol and bright, rounded acidity.
