Certainly one of the better 2011’s I’ve had. Drinks nicely early considering 2011 was not a stellar vintage.

The body is lean. The fruits are bright and ripe. Lean blackberries, lots of both cherries, strawberries, strong presence of dark spice with heat, crushed dry rocks, clay and bright fresh florals.

Stellar Pomerol with dominant Merlot body and flavors. At 19 years this is quality claret. Opened up after an hour to reveal complex berries and earth. Still has many years of good drinking. 🍷🍷 — 7 years ago

Stellar nose. Smoke, leather, truffle, bbq, super mineral, mint, forest floor, cassis, mineral, so clean, loads of cedar and pine, palate is even a bit young. So juicy and complex. Mineral and fresh. Big tannic spine. Complex and long. Can still use some age. Gorgeous now. — 6 years ago
