Tendril Wine Cellars

Domaine Bairaktaris

MONOLITHOS NEMEA Agiorgitiko 2016

Deceptive color textures resembling a dark Beaujolais magenta sheen with undercurrents of rusty Nebbiolo when swirled at the right angle.
Aromas rife with musty leather, warm cherry, and a tangy earthy sage grass from a nose tendril pinching 14% heat.
Taught tongue-gripping tannins add a bit of tobacco tar tint to an otherwise welcomed medium light-bodied dark forest chocolate swirl, finishing with strong herbal notes of honeyed thyme island hills.

Child's Play Pinot Noir

Really interesting. Would not have guessed it was Pinot noir alone. Very dark. Chocolate and dark berry flavor profile predominates. — 5 years ago

I’m starting to understand that this White Pinot Noir is at its best with at least several years of bottle age. At 9+ years this Diva is singing with a rich, silky, supple, intricate voice. — 3 years ago

Sierra Nevada Brewing Company

Limited Edition 40th Hoppy Anniversary Ale

Just translucent, reddish amber with a slightly off- white top evoking puffy clouds and sticky tendril lacing of carnivorous plants eventually arabesque. Light caramel malt smells overlay the lemon and pine, thyme and clementine-grapefruit. The extra touch of sweet malt rounds the citrus on the palate, and the grain shines briefly adumbrating the pine return. Pith of lime and grapefruit with a ginger sprinkle sustain the finish for a refreshing aftertaste with a ghost of basil. .

Coeur Blanc White Heart Pinot Noir 2013

Listening to Snoop Dog enjoying this delightfully paradoxical wine. White Pinot Noir, kinda reminds me of Carlton from The Fresh Prince, black on the outside white on the inside. Tastes like an apple/pear pie. If you're into this kinda thing peep the "Pretender" by Tendril. — 10 years ago

San Fereolo

"Il Provinciale" Langhe Nebbiolo 2014

Alcoholic cherry butterfly bush smell, hibiscus, taste has a huge front kick of condensed syrupy flavor but not feel as chalk, tannins and acids kick it out, leaving it wet and chalky with a curious and interesting pungent clay that makes this quite drinkable given the strength, hotness and complexity, the ending is a swirling mouthwatering acid that just doesn’t want to go away but it’s fresh and has a tingle and is pleasant (not astringent) - like picture an acidic grape tendril — 7 years ago
